Frequently Asked Questions

What method do you use?

Do I have to do “Cry It Out” (CIO)?

I am versed in all methods of sleep training. The method we use depends on a number of factors including your baby’s age, development and temperament as well as your parenting style, comfort level and goals.

You do not have to do CIO. Unless a family approaches me wanting to implement it, I do not include it in my sleep plans.

Will there be crying involved?

Unfortunately there are truly no “no cry” sleep training methods. All sleep training methods will involve some amount of crying as your child learns and develops new skills. You cannot control your child’ s response to the change in the way they fall asleep, but you can control your response and support them in a way which you feel comfortable for you.

What ages do you work with?

I work with newborns all the way up until the age of 4 years. It’s never too early to implement healthy sleep habits and it’s never too late to sleep train!

Do I have to night wean?

You do not have to night wean. Sleep training and night weaning are not the same thing. We will discuss your child’s feeding needs and come up with an overnight plan that supports them. Many children do begin sleeping through the night as independent sleep skills are established though. If you do desire to night wean and have pediatrician approval, we by all means can as well.

Do you provide in person services?

I currently do not provide in person services. I provide virtual consultations worldwide. I am based out of British Columbia, Canada and am on Pacific Standard Time (PST/PDT).

What if I can’t afford your services?

I believe that sleep isn’t a luxury. I provide payment plans upon request and am always willing to work within your budget. We can discuss specifics on our Discovery Call and come up with a plan that works best for your family.

What if it doesn’t work?

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Unfortunately, I cannot offer a guarantee for my services as sleep can be impacted by numerous factors. As long as you are consistent in following the plan, you will see an improvement in your child’s sleep.

Will I ever have to re-sleep train?

There is always the chance sleep can backtrack. As long as you remain consistent with the expectation of independent sleep you should not have to completely re-sleep train. My inbox is always open and I will gladly troubleshoot issues with you even after our time together is finished.
